Bloom! Banks Of Color - Note:

Bloom, Banks of Color was written months after 911.

I was in route (driving) from Chicago
to Georgia with several others, (family) when I noticed that everything looked out of focus.
I love to look at scenery and the symetry of different kinds of trees. What I found so fascinating but yet unnerving was that everything look grayish. The trees had lost their beautiful hue of green, the rich green color that seems so alive, was so greyish, it actually looked greyish green.

At first I thought that it was just a small stretch of land that we had passed as we drove along the Interstate, but as we kept moving, it stretched throughout the whole state. There was no difference, the same greyish color was also in Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia.
What I could not remember was, did it look like that in Illinois. So, I began looking for wild flowers, any colors that would stand out in the background of the scenery as we passed by.

To my awful surprise, everything looked almost lifeless, a massive expanse of grey mixed into whatever color that was appearing before us.

After reflecting on my trip once I got home, I remembered how pleasant the people were, everywhere we stopped for gas or food. Upon talking with people they seemed so hopeful about everything, but the color imagery could not be hidden or dismissed from my mind.
Everything had lost it beautiful rich color.
I began to pray withing myself and say, Bloom! banks of color, don't hide in the sky, show me your hues, red, yellow, blue... all the colors that I know are so rich and beautiful to see in the God given scenery we have.
Then I wanted them to fall from the sky and turn everything back like it once was before 911.

Bloom Banks of Color

Bloom Banks of Color

Scenic blooms around the country

Bloom Banks of red, hiding in the sky.
Bloom Banks of blue, where are you?
Bloom Banks of green, why can't you be seen?

Times of old, you were ever so bold.
Times of new, you've lost your cue.
Times that will follow, will you be hollow?

Bloom Banks, Bloom Banks, don't be shy.
Bloom Banks, Bloom Banks, show us your hues,
Red ones, green ones, yellow ones too.
Ever so precious with those baby blues.

Bloom Banks of Color, please fall from the sky,
Then we will never have to say goodbye.

Bridge Over Me

Bridge Over Me

GOD'S WORK IN US, IS LIKE A BRIDGE THAT ALLOWS US, 'TO MAKE IT OVER

Bridge Over My Wounded Heart
Take Out This Soul Wrenching Dart
Bridge Over Fragility And Great Pain,
Remove Sensitivity, With It's Sudden Maim

Bridge Over My Wounded Heart
Color My Black, That Left My Heart In A Sack
Bridge Over Distrust, And Sweep Away The Dust

Bridge Over My Heart With Your Grace
Allow Me Your Love To Taste,
Bridge Over My Heart With Your Mercy,
Allow Me To Build Up My Faith In Curtsy

Bridge Over My Heart With Kindness
Allow Me To have Your Mindness,
Bridge Over My Heart With Your Wholeness,
Allow Me To Be Filled With Boldness

Bridge Over My Heart With Your Peace,
Commanding Your Praise
Never To Cease!

Shadows Of Tomorrow

Shadows Of Tomorrow

Did you notice tomorrow, lerking over there
Just behind the bridge, see, it's everywhere
Faint suggestions, bound ever so tight
Bringing in appearances of shadowry blight

Inflected forms intercepting with might
Without reality, an illusitory sight
Silhouettes reaching in upward heights

Shadows of tomorrow with it's haloish light
Bring the mirror reflections
That hold visual impressions
Absoluetly making, tomorrow's concessions

The Shame Of My Pain

The Shame Of My Pain

The shame of my pain
Mobilizes me as lame
Though I'm not the blame
Makes me hurt just the same!

The shame of my pain
Don't never let me gain
Try hiding that name
Makes me hurt just the same!

The shame of my pain
While secretly desiring fame
Can't seem to focus my aim
Makes me hurt just the same!

The shame of my pain
I do, blame my lame
For never letting me gain
That much desired fame
Makes me hurt, just the same!

Freedom Still Holds Me

Freedom Still Holds Me

FREEDOM IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT POSSESSIONS WE CAN OWN, KEEP IT!

Freedom Still Holds Me Tight
Even Though Some Say
Where's The Light?

Bid Her Farewell!
We Won't Tell
What They Didn't Say Is,
We'll Open Up Hell!

Liberty And Justice
Rings Her Bell,
Can't You Hear
Her Fantastic Sell?

With Great Dignity
Her Torch Remains Lit,
Come One, Come All, And
Let Us Sit!

How Soon We Forget

How Soon We Forget

How soon we forget
The right way
Especially when we, have something to say

How soon we forget
The right way
When we declare, it's a new day!

How soon we forget
The right way
When we're determine, to keep one at bay

How soon we forget
The right way
When words of anger, you want to lay

How soon we forget
The right way
When we think, come what may!

Continue to forget
The right way,
And your heart, will certainly decay!
